Privately owned 4 bedroom family view cabin plus den, 3.5 baths, full kitchen, sleep 11. No pets.

All rates are based on double occupancy (two guests). Standard rate $175/night, weeknights discounted to $158/night, holidays $193/night, weekly rate $992, monthly $2126 plus utilities. For bookings less than one week each additional person beyond two is $15/night. For bookings less than one month there is 10% lodging tax. There is a one-time departure cleaning fee of $95. Maximum occupancy 11.


Oak View is located on Fernleaf Drive above Rockdale off of Jameson on a nicely wooded lot with lots of granite boulders. The cabin sits high on the lot and has wonderful views across the valley to South Ridge. There is hiking in the neighborhood above the cabin as well as Forest Service trails a short drive away. The village is also a short drive away and walking distance for "fit" hikers.

The entry level is made up of a sunken living room and a dining area both of which are optimally located to take advantage of the views. There is a Swedich style wood burning fireplace in the living area. Included on the main entry level are the kitchen, a family room/den with queen sofa bed, the master bedroom with king bed and en suite bathroom and a powder room near the living area.

Downstairs there are two more bedrooms; one with a queen bed and a twin daybed and with a double/full. There is a bathroom with tub in the downstairs area. The view side of the cabin is wrapped with an expansive deck with a couple of sitting areas. Off of the sun deck is a 4th bedroom with queen bed and 3/4 bath (shower only).

While the cabin is spacious, a couple can enjoy a romantic getaway by just using the main part of the house, which is comfortable and cozy for two but with plenty of elbow room.
