Spectacular Spring weather in Idyllwild

Idyllwild is turning lush and green and Strawberry Creek as it flows through Quiet Creek Inn is gorgeous. The lilacs are just beginning to fade but the creekside ferns haven’t hit their stride yet. The temp this weekend should be in the 70s under blue skies.

Saturday night, 6/2, available

An Idyllwild Arts parent booking is vacating two of their several rooms a day early and we now, surprisingly, have two rooms available for Saturday night: a creek view queen suite for up to three guests and a creek view studio for up to two guests. Both rooms can be booked via our online reservation calendar until midnight tonight but same day bookings must call: 951-468-4208 or 800-450-1516 during normal business hours.

Blanket of snow & blue skies

What more can one ask but a blanket of fluffy snow and blue skies. The temp is already mid 40’s – don’t know how long the snow will last – come up today there’s plenty of availability at the inn tonight and Thursday night. The inn is sold out this weekend but we have a romantic in-village apartment available called Artist’s Metro Flat. Idyllwild has transformed in to a winter wonderland!

Idyllwild is covered under a blanket of snow about 6-8 inches of the fluffy stuff – more than was expected. Come on up and enjoy it. There are some rooms available at the Inn for Friday or Sunday (nothing for Saturday) and there are a few vacation rental cabins available for a two-night minimum. Check out our new online reservation system to select something. Note that there are two systems two choose from. One for the Inn and one for the Vacation Rentals.

Two cabins made available for Christmas week and New Years

I’ve just released a couple of vacation rental cabins for Christmas week and New Years (two night minimum) that had been blocked off because of winter access issues. Now that I know the weather will be clear and sunny I’ve made Grandview Lodge and Wildwood available.

At the inn we have three different studios and suites available for Mon, 12/26, Tues, 12/27, and Wed, 12/28. We also have several studios & suites available starting New Years Day with a one-night minimum.

WiFi Hotspots now available for vacation rentals

Quiet Creek now offers Time Warner WiFi Hotspots to rent for $10 a day if you need Internet access but the vacation rental you are considering doesn’t have Internet (long term discounts available). Idyllwild only gets 3G so they won’t be effective for watching a movie online but will work fine for e-mail and web browsing. Quantity is limited so ask for one with your booking.

Spring Specials & Availability this Weekend

As we head in to that time of year we call the “shoulder season”, between winter snows and the gorgeousness that is Idyllwild in summer months, we’ve decided to offer a Spring Special: 20% off inn rooms and 10% off vacation rental cabins. This special pricing will also apply to our already discounted mid-week nights (Sun-Thurs).

Spring is the ideal time of year for hiking and mountain biking in Idyllwild. The days are pleasant and the nights are cool. Mike says: “hurry to enjoy this amazing spring before Casy-chasing Hollywood takes over Idyllwild”. [This is in reference to Idol-wild's Casey Abrams on American Idol for those who aren't following one of our "star" Idyllwilders.]

For those wanting to treat themselves we offer on-site massage by appointment and yoga in the Barn Loft on Sundays and Wednesday from 8:30-9:30 am by Spa Casa. After detoxing, you can re-tox on Sundays from 10 am to noon with a mimosa in the Quiet Creek Living Room Gallery.
