The drive up Scenic Highway 243 from the north (Banning side) is spectacular right now.  If you come up to Idyllwild using a different route it’s worth a drive north to Lake Fulmor, or beyond, to experience the dazzling fall color flanking both sides of the highway.  We certainly have plenty of splashes of it at the inn and around Idyllwild but the side trip excursion is worth it.

I also just posted some foggy fall photos to the Photo Gallery that I took several weeks ago.  The photo above is from this folder. These are moody images reminiscent of romance novels and movie scenes.  The photos were taken on Tollgate Road halfway between Quiet Creek Inn and Idyllwild Arts.
