There will likely be some snow accumulation today.  What’s falling now is wet and a little more sleet like but could easily turn to puffy white flakes subject to temperature and other conditions.  The white stuff is starting to stick on the ground.  The National Weather Service is forecasting 2-4″ today and another 1-2″ tonight but they also say the high will be 33 and it’s 37 at 9:30 am (40 at 7:00 am).

Based on what’s falling now the roads should be good, slushy but OK.

The snow that was forecast for last night and this morning didn’t happen… at least not in our part of Idyllwild where the inn is located.  It’s very possible that there is snow at higher elevations but Lily Rock is shrouded in fog and we can’t see it from our kitchen window to report on whether there is snow higher up than where we are.  What we can see it gorgeous fall color.  We are at the point of the season of rich golds and russets.  It’s beautiful! Perfect for Thanksgiving week.

It will be cold this week but the roads will be clear.
