The snow began falling, lightly and first then building, since this morning. Starting with less than a one-inch base we’re up to more than 5″ at this point and it’s coming down in big fluffy flakes. It could fall all week, promising a snow covered weekend before Christmas.

As difficult as it can be to get around in the snow covered landscape is wonderful both because it’s beautiful and because of the quiet that the snow’s insulation provides.
