It’s still snowing

The snow picked up again mid-morning and has continued falling in big, beautiful flakes. We are now under about a 2″ blanket of snow but the roads are good. The highways will be posted with chains required signs and you really should have them with you.

It’s not supposed to be snowing

It’s not supposed to be snowing but it is. It started as small beebee-like snow pellets and has turned to pretty flakes floating down to a ground that is probably too warm for it to accumulate much. But it is pretty. The weather forecast has been for partly sunny and day time temps in the 40s.

If coming up this weekend keep an eye on our weather link. Road conditions should be fine.

Blanket of snow

While it rained all day yesterday, adding lots of water to our raging creek, the rain turned to snow last night and we awoke to a thick blanket of snow. It’s beautiful. It was sunny earlier in the morning but has turned to partly cloudy. The rest of the week is forecast to be sunny but this snow should last throught the weekend, particularly at higher elevations and shadier areas.
