The Quiet Creek Living Room gallery evolved from the personal art collection housed in the private residence of the owners of the Quiet Creek Inn. As this comfortable, inviting space with its unique environment became sought after for its hosting of public events, it became the obvious and ideal venue for a special, intimate gallery space.
The Quiet Creek Living Room displays an impressive collection of fine art in a variety of mediums, featuring several award-winning plein air artists, ceramicists, and a number of notable painters, including several Art Alliance of Idyllwild artists. In addition to original art, there are limited-edition photographs and vintage posters.
After the consistent requests for public events and the large number of guests peering into our living room windows to sneak peeks at our collection, the owners agreed it was time to open the beautiful residential space and the art work to the public.
Gallery owner Mike Ahern, who seldom mentions his Art History degree from Yale University, instead makes his case quite simply: “With close to 2,000 guests per year coming to Quiet Creek to ‘check-in’, the gallery presented itself as a particularly good way to allow the guests, as well as the public, to also ‘check-out’ this great selection of collectable and affordable art.”
Quiet Creek Living Room is open to the public daily from 9-5 pm, and until 8 pm on Friday or by appointment. The gallery is located at the Quiet Creek Inn, 26345 Delano Dr., off Tollgate Rd and Hwy 243. 800-450-6110.
